Classrooms
The college provides well ventilated, spacious classroom equipped with A.C and with latest teaching aids such as OHP, mounted LCD projector and White board to get a highly interactive dimension to classroom teaching. All classrooms are designed for minimum 50-60 students seating arrangements.
Nursing Laboratories
Nursing Foundation and Advance Nursing Skill Laboratory
This lab is spacious, well-ventilated with a sitting arrangement of 50 students. Advanced manikins and simulators, articles, instruments, linen, lockers, cupboards etc. are provided to enhance students’ practical experience. The lab facilitates the development of highly realistic & revolutionary nursing skills through hands-on training, all under the continuous supervision and guidance by expert teaching faculties.
Nutrition Laboratory
The nutrition lab is equipped with a fully furnished kitchen, modern crockery, utensils & electronic equipments. Qualified teachers help students prepare therapeutic diets for different groups, including normal individuals, pregnant women & those with disorders. The lab offers equipped cooling, storage, food preservation facilities, along with demonstrations for customized diets.
Nursing Laboratories
Pre Clinical Science Laboratory
The facilities available in this lab can foster the students to learn more about the basic structure and functions of human body. There are adequate number of bones, models, skeleton, charts etc. to create interest among the students in their profession.
Maternal and Child Health Laboratory
This lab is established with models of all parts of a female reproductive system and new born baby. This state of art laboratory facility provides the students to practice and demonstrate antenatal, intranatal and postnatal care. The manikins are provided to practice abdominal examination, labor and episiotomy suturing. Instruments for different obstetric and gynecologic procedures make it an apt place to learn Maternity and Child Health Nursing subject.
Nursing Laboratories
Community Health Nursing Laboratory
It is equipped with all innovative and qualitative materials, models, charts, flash cards which are required for field work. In this lab students practice skills and techniques for public health activities and family health care. It has facilities for organizing community health projects, camps, exhibitions and campaigns.
Audio -Visual Aids Laboratory
Audio visual aids communicate ideas through ears to the mind. A.V. Aids lab is opened for the students with O.H.P. LCD. Projector, Tripod projector, Computer, Laptop. TV, Camera, Xerox machine, DVD player, Tape recorder, Charts, Models, Posters and different type of Boards which can provide high-tech educational media to support the teaching-learning nursing students.
Computer Laboratory
The Computer Lab consists of 20 computers with latest configuration and internet connection. Efficient and experienced faculty is appointed to help the students in the field of electronic media. We also have all the licensed software needed for the lab.
Library
The library of the institute occupies a prominent position and is an important and integral part of all the teaching programmes of the college.
The Library is not merely a depository of books, but an active workshop instrument in the production of or original thinking. The Library has been furnished with seating capacity for 60 students and has a collection of more than 4000 books, subscription of vivid National, International journals, magazines, modules, manuals etc.
The library is handled by highly skilled and trained library professionals. A spacious well-arranged reading facility in the library for the convenience of students is made available. E learning facilities are also made available to the students in the library.
Terms and Conditions for using Library Resources
- Students should always carry Library card and College ID card to access the Library and its resources.
- Students should keep belongings with them at all times. You are responsible for keeping them safe.
- Do not take any book or other library material out of the library without following the borrowing procedures.
- Make sure to return the borrowed items by the due date.
- Student should renew or return the books within 7 days of issuing after which Rs. 5/- per day will be collected as fine for delay.
- In case any of the borrowed items being lost, damaged, or destroyed, the students are required to replace the lost /damaged/destroyed item with a new one.
- Never write in books or cut pages out of them.
- Return books/materials to their original location on the bookshelf.
- Always follow copyright law and don't plagiarise.
- Treat Library property with respect
- Not to indulge in talking or making noise while inside the library.
- The Librarian has the discretion to refuse admission and to demand any book of the library at any time.
- Not to create indiscipline in the library and observe library rules strictly.
- Any misuse of library privileges will be considered as a serious breach of discipline and the Principal can take such action as is necessary after consulting the Librarian.
- Strict silence, decorum and discipline must be maintained in the library.
Multi Purpose Hall
The college has a huge multipurpose hall that can accommodate more than 250 students at a time. The auditorium is equipped with audio-visual facilities such as floor mikes, hand mikes, sound system, a computer, a screen and a projector. It is used for holding seminars, workshops, lectures and celebrations for the benefit of students and the faculty.
Quality education and training along with student-centric facilities are all that we aim to offer. Hence, we strive to make the experience of our students worthy and contribute to their overall progress helping them secure their careers.
Hostel Facilities
The College Hostel makes sure that its students get a neat and clean environment and a comfortable place to live in. Our hostel has air conditioned, well-ventilated rooms, reading room and visitor’s room.
There are Wardens/ Hostel Staff on duty round the clock. The hostel mess provides homely, wholesome, hygienic, nutritive vegetarian foods according to the choice of the students at a reasonable price.
There is provision for indoor and outdoor games, LCD TV and music system. Personal lockers are made available for every student. The hostellite students are encouraged to participate in cultural and social activities.
The campus provides 24 hours service by security personnels with CCTV cameras to look into the safety of the students.
Colourful evenings of song and dance are not unusual on the campus. The students staying in the hostel are encouraged to live in harmony, like one big family, lending each other a helping hand whenever required, mutually cooperating to make hostel life a rich and fruitful experience.
Shrey Hostel assures to provide an ideal atmosphere for a healthy, all-round development of personality and a launching pad for a progressive career ahead.
Points to be considered as hostellite:
- The inmates of the hostel are required to follow all the rules, regulations and guidelines as well as maintain decorum during their stay in the hostel.
- The College Hostel will reserve the right to make changes in residential facility, bed allotment and various facilities in the accommodation as deemed appropriate from time to time.
- The entrance of outsiders in the hostel will be restricted and entry of parents/guardian and any other visitor will be subject to the permission of hostel warden and other concerned authorities of the College; and if permitted, visitors while being on campus will ensure that they behave decently and in orderly manner and any misbehavior or unwarranted act on their part shall entitle the College to take any action against them and/or any disciplinary action against the student.
Transportation Facilities
The college has its own transport facility comprising of buses and vans for the conveyance of students for practical training at different affiliated hospitals and community health centres throughout the year and all outdoor educational visits.
